Here's the REAL truth that every health-conscious American needs to know…

This may be the biggest about-face in health supplement history.
First, Big Pharma tried to patent turmeric and its active ingredient curcumin because it was such a natural health wonder.
But once the U.S. patent office rejected that application, Big Pharma has been trying to DISCREDIT curcumin's health-boosting properties altogether.
And their efforts just reached a boiling point because of a new study published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry.
The conclusion of that study says:
"Unfortunately, no form of curcumin, or its closely related analogues, appears to possess the properties required for a good drug candidate (chemical stability, high water solubility, potent and selective target activity, high bioavailability, broad tissue distribution, stable metabolism, and low toxicity)."

Mainstream media outlets are tripping all over themselves to cite these findings.

A Time magazine headline even declared, "Turmeric May Not Be a Miracle Spice After All."
I'M WRITING THIS ARTICLE TO WARN YOU NOT TO FALL FOR THIS CURCUMIN COVERUP. Not only do more than 9,000 peer-reviewed studies support curcumin's health-boosting properties… but a recent scientific breakthrough has actually made it much easier for the human body to reap all of curcumin's wide-ranging benefits.
Look, this whole thing is about money.

Pharmaceutical companies don't want you to spend $1 a day on simple plant-based health supplements when they can charge you thousands of dollars for more complicated treatments.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media collects about $5 BILLION a year in advertising money from Big Pharma, so they're not going to bite the hand that feeds them.
Which is precisely why I want to give you the REAL scoop about turmeric and curcumin.

Long before it became a hot health trend, I was talking about how curcumin was more powerful than Big Pharma's synthetic chemicals… without the side effects.

Here Are Just Some of Curcumin's MANY Proven Health Benefits…

An online database dedicated to all the different studies that have been conducted on curcumin contains more than 9,000 different peer-reviewed scientific papers on the substance.
Here are just a few of the many findings…
• Discomfort and Inflammation According to a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in The Journal of Phytotherapy Research, turmeric supported healthy joint movement by 60% and comfort by 73%!

• Age-Related Memory Loss A study in The Journal of Alzheimer's Research and Therapy reported that turmeric reversed mild temporary age-related memory loss in just three months!
• Digestion Research published in The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine showed turmeric leading to healthy digestive processes in a full two thirds of the participants.

• Heart Health Triglyceride levels are a more important factor for heart health than LDL cholesterol - the so-called "bad" type. And research published in The Journal of Phytotherapysaid turmeric promoted healthy triglyceride levels in the normal range! Meanwhile, The American Journal of Cardiology also said turmeric could support healthy heart function.
• Feeling "Blue" According to a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial published in The Journal of Affective Disorders, turmeric promoted healthy moods.

• Healthy Cells The Journal of Anticancer Research found that turmeric supported healthy pancreatic cells.
Meanwhile, a separate study in the same publication said turmeric promotes healthy stem cells.
• Skin Health A study published in The Journal of BioMed Central Complementary and Alternative Medicine showed that turmeric was helpful in supporting healthy connective tissue.

• Blood Sugar Research published in The Journal of the American Diabetes Association showed turmeric promoted healthy blood sugar levels within the normal ranges.
• Brain Function A study in The Journal of Psychopharmacology said turmeric was able to improve memory, increase mental stamina, and elevate mood within one hour.

• Eyesight It's rare to find anything that works for everyone, but that's exactly what happened in a study published in The Journal of Phytotherapy Research… where turmeric supported 100% of the participants' middle layers of eyeball tissue.
With more than 9,000 studies in that database, I could keep going for quite a long time.
But as you can see, there is an overwhelming amount of clinical evidence supporting wide-ranging health benefits from curcumin.
So This Curcumin Hit Job Is "Patently" Ridiculous…

It's because of all this overwhelming evidence that Big Pharma was using every trick in the book to try and patent turmeric and its active ingredient curcumin.
In fact, they were literally fighting the entire country of India tooth and nail over it... essentially trying to take a compound that mankind has been using for thousands of years and lock it down for their own personal profit.

The good news is that Big Pharma ultimately lost that battle.

The U.S. Patent Office canceled their application precisely because there was an overwhelming body of evidence - thousands of years of it - already supporting the many uses of turmeric as a medicinal compound.
So Big Pharma is now arguing for more research into other substances - presumably ones they CAN actually patent and profit from.
That's so transparent it's downright laughable!
I mean, who should you believe…
Four thousand years of anecdotal evidence from Asia plus more than 9,000 different scientific studies…
OR…
Big Pharma and a couple people arguing on their behalf?
I think the answer is pretty obvious.
Which is why even the authors of the new anti-curcumin study had to conclude with the following admission: "We do not rule out the possibility that an extract of crude turmeric might have beneficial effects on human health."
Of course, there were two other critical things that the nay-saying scientists got right in their anti-curcumin study...

Two Important Points That Anyone Taking - Or Considering - Curcumin Must Know…

As the anti-curcumin scientists pointed out…
First, low doses of curcumin probably won't have any substantial effect on someone's health and aren't worth studying further.
Second, curcumin has relatively low bioavailability on its own - meaning it is not easily absorbed by the human body.
Point number one is pretty obvious.
You need to take enough of a substance to get the maximum benefits.
Just consider that the recommended daily dosage of a vitamin C supplement might be 1,000 mg for an adult - the equivalent of eating 20 oranges! But as I'll show you in a second, it's very easy to get the proper amount of curcumin - and the absolute best individual curcuminoids it contains - without gorging yourself at an Indian buffet three times a day.

Still, what about the second point…
If curcumin has low bioavailability, why should anyone even bother with it at all? The answer comes from a breakthrough study that was conducted at St. John's University.
Researchers there found a simple yet POWERFUL way to boost the bioavailability of curcumin by 2,000%. The secret: Combining curcumin with piperine. The experiment was very simple: A group of people were given two grams of curcumin on its own and then tested to see how much was in their bloodstream.
Look at the surge of beneficial curcumin in the bloodstream when it's combined with Piperine!
Result: Levels of curcumin in blood serum were either very low or even undetectable in some cases.

Then, a group of people were given the same amount of curcumin PLUS 20 mg of piperine.
Result: Scientists saw much higher concentrations of curcumin in subjects' blood serum… with a total increase in bioavailability of 2,000%!
By the way, researchers also performed the same basic experiment on animals and saw the same overall effects.

So the conclusion was definitive:
"In the dosages used, piperine enhances the serum concentration, extent of absorption and bioavailability of curcumin in both rats and humans with no adverse effects."
Other studies have demonstrated the same basic relationship between curcumin and piperine, too.

Curcumin Alone vs. Curcumin and Piperine
For example, researchers from China wanted to see if a combination of curcumin and piperine could help keep cholesterol in check.
To test that, they created four different groups of animals...
Group #1
ate a normal diet.
Group #2
ate a high-fat diet and didn't get any additional supplementation.
Group #3
ate a high-fat diet and also ingested curcumin by itself.
Group #4 ate a high-fat diet and received both curcumin and bioperine.
After one month, the results were clear:
The group that took curcumin AND piperine had the healthiest cholesterol levels and maintained them within the normal ranges!
So once again, piperine allowed curcumin to work its magic.
In fact, clinical results have reiterated this same basic synergy between curcumin and piperine over and over again.
Which is why I only recommend taking curcumin with piperine.
And what is piperine, you ask?

This Is Where Ancient Indian Medicine Meets Modern Science...

Indian long pepper is a flowering vine. It's usually dried and used as a spice and seasoning.
Piperine is simply the extract of black pepper (piper nigrum) or Indian long pepper (piper longum, shown above).

Like turmeric, these spices are traditionally used in both Ayurvedic medicine and South Asian cooking.

In other words, modern science is merely confirming what ancient wisdom has always known - that certain plant-based compounds work TOGETHER to provide superior, magnified health benefits.
This is why I only recommend taking curcumin with piperine.

PLEASE NOTE: Many curcumin supplements in the marketplace DO NOT contain piperine... and that means anyone taking them is NOT getting all of turmeric's health-boosting effects.

However, in addition to combining curcumin with piperine, I also recommend adding in three additional spices that are commonly consumed throughout South Asia...

Ginger root helps reduce inflammation.
Health-Booster #1: Ginger - Fighting Fire with Fire!
You are no doubt familiar with ginger in one form or another - whether it's through ginger ale, gingersnap cookies, or one of the many Asian dishes that rely on its hot, intense flavor.
Indeed, ginger is a critical ingredient in the vast majority of Indian curry dishes - the base on which other spices are layered.
And ironically, it's that same peppery fire that goes to work calming down your own body's internal furnace.
Ginger has also been used for that purpose for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine.
But as with turmeric, modern scientists are discovering that it's not enough to eat a little bit of ginger here and there.

The very best health benefits come through larger doses of ginger's active medicinal compound called gingerol.
Researchers in Korea confirmed this when they studied precisely HOW a ginger extract acts on human tissue.
What they found was startling: Ginger extract actually works to support healthy gene function.
Practically speaking, this is why gingerol has such wide-reaching implications for supporting healthy joint function and comfort.
For example, scientists at the University of Miami ran a six-week trial across 10 different locations in the United States, encompassing 247 different patients.
Half of the group took gingerol supplements. The other half took a placebo.
At the end of the study, 40% more people taking the gingerol reported support for healthy knee function vs. the group taking the placebo.

As the researchers concluded:

"A highly purified and standardized ginger extract had a statistically significant effect."

Of course, it wasn't just ginger that helped. The supplement used in that University of Miami study also contained one other related root... another natural healer that I also recommend adding to curcumin and gingerol...

Galangal contains a host of antioxidants that help minimize the damage caused by toxins in the body.
Health-Booster #2: Galangal, Ginger's Lesser-Known Cousin

Galangal is another rhizome (root) that bears a lot of similarities to ginger - including the way it looks and tastes.
Like ginger, galangal has been consumed throughout Asia for millennia. However, unlike its more famous cousin, very few Americans have ever heard of galangal let alone consumed it.
That's a shame because galangal is another spectacular way to improve many aspects of your general health and well-being.
In fact, researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology's Department of Biotechnology have hailed a specific type of galangal as "the goldmine of future therapeutics."
They go on to list all of the potential applications of this plant wonder…

In the Hindu tradition, Holy Basil serves both as an important symbol and also as a popular medicinal remedy.
Health Booster #3: Holy Basil

Holy Basil is related to the basil plant that you might associate with Italian cooking, but it's a lot spicier with a pronounced peppery note.
It originated in India, where it's called Tulsi and considered a spiritual plant by Hindus. Many families keep holy basil growing somewhere in their homes.
It's no surprise why: For thousands of years, it's been used for both culinary purposes and as a medicine.
Ayurvedic healers have prescribed the pungent leaves as a remedy for the common cold and other respiratory illnesses.
And as with turmeric, ginger, and galangal… Western medicine is finally waking up to the true power of this unassuming plant.

Here's how one research paper explains it:
"There is mounting evidence that tulsi can address physical, chemical, metabolic and psychological stress through a unique combination of pharmacological actions.
"Tulsi has been found to protect organs and tissues against chemical stress from industrial pollutants and heavy metals, and physical stress from prolonged physical exertion, ischemia, physical restraint and exposure to cold and excessive noise.
"Tulsi has also been shown to counter metabolic stress."

Scientists even believe we can use holy basil to create new hand sanitizers, mouthwashes, and other household products. As an adaptogen, holy basil is recognized as a substance that can help our bodies deal with stress and maintain a certain level of equilibrium and harmony.
So I see holy basil as the perfect complement to turmeric, ginger and galangal. And once you add in the piperine, you can be sure that your body is getting the maximum benefits.

ALL of These Health-Boosting Compounds for Less Than $1? No Wonder Big Pharma Is Absolutely Terrified!

As you probably know, Big Pharma is most interested in monopolies that pay big profits.
So the minute they realized they couldn't make money from curcumin, they started finding ways to discredit it.
Yet thousands of years of evidence prove this substance's MANY health benefits, especially when it's combined with a few other key ingredients.
The beauty of this situation is that you can get proven, wide-reaching health benefits without having to pay an arm and a leg.

In fact, you can get it all for less than $1 a day!

No wonder Big Pharma doesn't want people to take a few simple roots that promote overall health and well-being!

And don't even get me started on some of the side effects that we've seen from various drugs in recent years...
Who doesn't remember all the lawsuits that Pfizer's anti-smoking drug Chantix was causing problems for people... including suicidal thoughts and actions?
Pfizer settled more than 2,700 individual cases for more than $273 million in damages and was later forced to place a "black box" warning on the product.
Or what about when news hit in 2016 that popular acid reflux drugs like Nexium were being linked to kidney disease?
That scandal affected more than 15 million Americans!
The reality is that many popular drugs not only cost a fortune, they may very well carry all kinds of hidden dangers.

In contrast, natural healing substances like turmeric, ginger, galangal, and black pepper have been part of the human diet for thousands of years… have proven health benefits… no known side effects… and cost way less than the typical co-pay on just one branded pharmaceutical!
